This name comes from the district’s appearance, especially in spring, when cherry and fruit trees blossom, making it look like a bride with its year-round greenery. Kemalpaşa, known for its world-famous cherries and pine forests, produces the earliest cherries in the world.

Due to its strategic location, Kemalpaşa is at the heart of İzmir, Pınarbaşı, Işıkkent, and Turgutlu, the most important industrial centers of the Aegean region.
